Levofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication and repair, leading to bacterial cell death. Ornidazole interferes with DNA synthesis in anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, causing cell death.
