Cefepime

Cefepime is a type of antibiotic known as a cephalosporin.It works by killing bacteria that cause infections.

Cefepime is used to treat serious bacterial infections, including:

Pneumonia

Urinary tract infections

Skin and soft tissue infections

Bloodstream infections (bacteremia)

Meningitis

Infections in patients with weakened immune systems.

Makpime 250mg Tablet (Cefepime) works by interfering with the bacteria's ability to build cell walls. This disrupts the bacteria's growth and ultimately kills them.

Cefepime should be stored at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Do not freeze.

Kidney

Liver

Cefepime can be harmful to your liver. If you experience any symptoms of liver problems, such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, consult your doctor immediately.
