Adjunctive treatment of partialonset seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults and adolescents (16 years of age and older) with epilepsy.
Monotherapy in adults (18 years and older) with newly diagnosed epilepsy. This should only be considered when alternative treatments are unsuitable.
Britzilam 10mg/Ml Inj 5ml (Brivaracetam) is an anticonvulsant believed to work by binding to the synaptic vesicle protein 2A (SV2A), a protein found in nerve cells in the brain. This binding modifies the release of neurotransmitters, helping to reduce the abnormal electrical activity that causes seizures.
Store brivaracetam tablets at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from moisture and light.
Dosage should be determined by a physician and will vary based on individual needs and response.
Typically, treatment begins with a low dose that's gradually increased as tolerated.
It's usually taken orally, once or twice daily, with or without food.

Alcohol may exacerbate the sedative effects of brivaracetam. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.
Brivaracetam can cause drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Brivaracetam should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. It is unknown whether brivaracetam is excreted in breast milk.
Brivaracetam is not typically recommended for children under 16 years old (except in specific situations determined by a specialist).
Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with kidney impairment.
Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with severe liver impairment.
