This drug combination works by providing a multi-pronged approach to managing oral mucositis. Lidocaine numbs the affected area, reducing pain. Povidone-iodine disinfects the wound, preventing infection. Sucralfate forms a protective barrier over the sores, promoting healing. Tinidazole combats any bacterial or parasitic infections that may be present.
Store the medication at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Typically, the medication is applied directly to the affected area with a cotton swab or gauze several times a day.
