Ingredients of Acord Plus Tab

    Losartan

A type of medication called an angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that helps relax blood vessels, making it easier for blood to flow.

    Atenolol

A beta-blocker that slows down the heart rate and lowers blood pressure.

    Hydrochlorothiazide

A diuretic (water pill) that helps the body get rid of excess salt and water, lowering blood pressure.

Direction for Use of Acord Plus Tab

This combination medication is prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It may be used alone or in combination with other medications.

How Acord Plus Tab Works

0 Losartan: Blocks the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, which normally narrows blood vessels. By blocking this action, losartan relaxes blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.1 Atenolol: Works by blocking the effects of adrenaline (epinephrine) on the heart. This slows down the heart rate and reduces the force with which the heart contracts, lowering blood pressure.2 Hydrochlorothiazide: Increases the amount of urine the body produces, which helps remove excess fluid and sodium. This lowers blood pressure.
